The Chuuk Reform Movement is about Chuukese citizens inspiring each other to be model citizens in their communities and to the global community. To that end, we spotlight some of the success stories of ordinary Chuukese citizens whose actions inspire fellow citizens to become better citizens. This list is meant to grow so we invite you to share stories of other Chuukese citizens in your community who are inspiring you to humble greatness.

Honoring Our Heroes
The Chuuk that we know today is no longer the same Chuuk we inherited from our ancestors. We have had our share of destroying the natural beauty, the reputation, and the prominence Chuuk once enjoyed at the hands of so many competent leaders. CRM believes that reforming Chuuk must include an understanding of our past and honoring those Chuukese leaders who have left us with more hope than despair. These heroes are not necessarily saints, but their legacy inspire future generations of public servants and citizen-leadership. For being the unselfish role models for us, we honor these Chuukese heroes.
Changemakers
As we Chuukese have steadily destroyed our Chuuk by our irresponsible acts of selfishness so we must steadily rebuild it by individual acts of heroic and courageous leadership. We can no longer afford to blame the past, but we can claim the future. CRM recognizes the work of ordinary Chuukese citizens who exemplify this spirit of rebuilding Chuuk one citizen at a time and the community in which they live. Their dedication to empowering others to positively contribute to their communities demonstrate the greatness of the Chuukese spirit of people working together to be role models for each other. We are inspired by the ordinary Chuukese citizen-leaders who felt the needs of the people and rose to the occasion to make a difference in the communities around them. Promising Young Leaders
Chuuk has reached a crossroads between the hopelessness of a Chuuk of elders and the promising future of a Chuuk of tomorrow’s youth. The deformation of Chuuk’s progress was the legacy of us adults, but the reformation of Chuuk’s future lies squarely in the hands of the promising young leaders of Chuuk. CRM recognizes the positive attitude and dedication of up and coming Chuukese citizens who inspire their fellow youth to be actively involved in their communities. For role modeling for adults and youth alike, CRM honors the next generation of Chuukese leaders. Inspired by the positive attitude and dedication of up and coming Chuukese citizens who inspire other young Chuukese citizens to be actively involved in their communities, we honor these role models for the younger generations.
Community Organizations
Political reform cannot happen by sheer will alone. It must be helped by the work of non-governmental organizations. CRM recognizes the many community organizations in Chuuk which have served as pillars of the culture. We are inspired by the citizen-led organizations by and for Chuukese whose mission is aimed at helping to build a more prosperous, peaceful, just, and healthy Chuuk.
