Who We Are

Our Chuuk! Our Responsibility!
Chuuk Reform Movement (CRM) is a network of globally dispersed Chuukese citizens and our friends who envision of a Chuuk State where citizens are aware of social and political issues affecting them as a people, inspire each other to humble greatness, take responsibility for demanding a transparent and competent government leadership, actively engage in decision-making processes in the community, support political leadership based on sound information and judgment, and share a commitment to take actions that promote the common good of the Chuukese people over self-serving needs. Our Guiding Principles

Be Involved!
The Chuuk Reform Movement is built around a set of principles that guide our efforts. Anyone who wishes to join this movement is asked to read and abide by these guiding principles not as a way to curtail efforts but to unite us. These guidelines are meant to provide us with a set of issues by which we can build our coalition. Members do NOT have to agree with every guiding principle, but we challenge you to know where you stand on each issue so as to help guide the collective efforts. After all, this is a network of individuals. Read the complete guiding principles>>
Our Reform Agenda

Reform Agenda
The Chuuk Reform Movement recognizes the multitude and complexity of problems facing Chuuk all of which require a consistent agenda of reform on many fronts. We dare to begin that process by addressing some basic areas of reform in Chuuk. In the spirit of respect and open dialogue with fellow Chuukese citizens, CRM invites you to share your opinions about the issues that matter most to you, as well as your hopes and vision of what you would like to see accomplished in a consistent reform agenda for Chuuk. It is only through open and respectful dialogue between practitioners and theorists, voters and elected officials, native Chuukese and our global allies can a consensus for an agenda-setting reform program emerge.
